Ten years from now we will be celebrating the 900th anniversary of the completion of Durham Cathedral. 2032 marks 200 years of Durham University, founded by the Bishop of Durham for the city and the region. The people of Durham built this place in 40 years and 2026 marks 40 years of being designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – recognised for its importance to all humanity.
